Internet! Finally!

So, I'm here. It's been a few days but I finally got internet. I promised someone I would try to keep these short, so here goes!

1. Flights were good. Flight to Amsterdam served dinner and breakfast 3 hours apart. 8 hour layover in Amsterdam, corresponding to midnight to 8 am EST with a $27/min phone call, and questionable McDonalds...lame.
2. Flight to Accra smelled terribly of B.O.
3. Baggage Claim took hours...and I had both bags checked. One by TSA and one at Customs.
4. The food is AMAZING.
5. We aren't in our permanent housing yet. Hopefully we will this weekend.
6. It hasn't been crazy hot...yet.
7. I can get my hair braided for 9 Cedis..which is $6.
8. If you want a dress made, I need all relevant measurements.
9. I bought 2 dresses and a bracelet for 17 Cedis which is about $12.
10. Instead of squirrels, pigeons, and raccoons, there are lizards, chickens, goats, and dogs that run free.
11. I have a cell phone, so if you missed a call from a random 054 number, that may have been me.
12. Classes start August 17th.
13. One of the van drivers reminds me of O'Neill.
14. Red dust is EVERYWHERE!
15. Things that remind of you all: "African Queen" was playing, Bob Marley's estate is here, Gaby's Market, all of the buildings for your respective majors, "Mrs. Officer" was playing today, they love 90s music...and there's more but I can't think right now.

I will try to get on as much as possible but there will 40,000 people on campus when things start really happening soooo it could get crazy.
