So, it's officially 2 days before I leave and it still hasn't fully hit me. Some of you have questions so I will see if I can address them now.
1. My flight is scheduled to leave on Friday at 5 from Logan (Boston). Let me know if you'd like the airline and such.
2. I will get to Amsterdam at 6:10 am, depart for Accra, Ghana at 2:15 pm, and arrive in Accra at 6:50 pm on Saturday. Those are all local times. Amsterdam is 6 hours ahead.
3. I will be able to call my mom when I get there and will post here when I get a chance/access to a computer.
4. Ghana is 4 hours ahead of EST...until Daylights Savings Time when it will be 5 hours ahead.
5. I will be staying in a dorm. I will not be roughing it.
6. When we arrive, they will probably take us to get cell phones and other random things (buckets, fans, mosquito nets). I do not know how it all works just yet, so bear with me, please.
7. Yes, I have all my shots and yes, I will be taking an antibiotic everyday for Malaria prophylaxis.
8. It's gonna be crazy hot and no, I don't think I'm ready for that.
9. No, I will not get married while I'm there and no, it will not matter if he's royalty.
10. I am scheduled to land at Logan at 10:50 am in December 14th.
