Hello, friends! I tried to get on the internet to no avail so now I'm finally here! Many things have happened since I last posted. Bear with me, please.
1. Firstly, my mommy left me. Sad. We had Thanksgiving at Frankie's so it was kind of like home because the food was American but then not because there was no turkey or cranberry sauce. It was a teary good-bye but all is well now!
2. Jennica, Sarah Nash, and I took a trip to the northern region. Mole National Park to be exact. We took a van instead of the crazy MassMetro bus so we had extra room and A/C! It still took 11.5 hours to get there and I hit my head on the ceiling of the vehicle because the road is TERRIBLE. No pavement, no upkeep. Just dirt, rocks, and canyons. Sheriff drove us. He's a pretty cool guy. Suave and whatnot. We had a triple, he stayed elsewhere. We saw 2 elephants! Jennica and Sarah Nash named him Josiah. I don't know why but it works. We went on a walking safari, saw some antelopes, warthogs, monkeys, and baboons. Jennica fought a baboon for Sarah Nash's camera. Baboons are evil, by the way. Just not nice at all. They just stole stuff the whole time we were there: bags from a bus, Sarah Nash's book and camera (attempted), oranges. Not a fan. We saw the oldest mosque in Ghana in Larabanga. An old lady with a tattoo got unjustly offended because she thought we were mocking her when we actually thought it was cool. Rude. The ride back took 11 hours...Sheriff sped like crazy. Good trip. Never making that drive again though. Nope.
3. We went to Mamma Mia for pizza on Friday and took our last trip to the Centre for National Culture on Saturday and saw all of our favorite vendors one last time...and dropped mad bills of course.
4. Packing...is evil. No matter how many times I do it it never gets any easier. I'm trying to do it day by day so it's not terrible in the end.
5. Two more exams left! Took the exam for the worst class ever, Working with Older People, this morning. I bashed all things western to the best of my abilities. Wasn't too bad. I think I did well.
6. This week I have an exam tomorrow (Tuesday) night, getting my last Ghanaian sandwich on Wednesday, taking my final final on Thursday, partying with the kiddies at the Child Study Centre and perhaps having a Tufts group dinner on Friday, and living it up on Saturday at the pool for that final tan and at the last party of the semester that night! Then I sleep all Sunday and wake up to get on a plane and come back to my homeland! Crazy, I know.
Well, folks, if I don't get back to the internet before I peace out, I hope this blog has served you well in tracking my many adventures! See you soon!
